Happy New Year !!

Here comes 2018 knocking at our door,

Get ready for the celebration and party to the core,

Another year passes by with the feelings good and bad,

At times we were happy at times we were sad.

So welcome this opportunity to make everything right,

Coz darkness is always conquered by the morning light !!

Eighteen years have passed since the turn of the century,

Adorned with so many accomplishments, inventions and discoveries,

Human kind yet again proves its might,

So lets wait n watch what this new year brings in sight,

As the year 2017 leaves its trace,

It will mark the beginning of another rat race.

Parties, fireworks, feasts and decoration,

This holiday season is full of celebration,

With each of us having our sweet resolution,

Which some will follow and others will forget like a routine tradition.

So get up my friends and eliminate any pessimism from our life,

It's time to be optimistic and keep our hopes alive,

So let's take a resolution to be happy and contented this year,

No matter how big or small is our piece of share,

And promote mutual respect, integrity and be helpful to every peer,

Coz this is the only secret mantra to wipe out our prevailing fear,

Now it's time for me to scream out loud and wish you all a very Happy New Year !!

A Globetrotter

                 

I opened my eyes in this world of disorder,

Startled by the nuances my thoughts had to offer,

And as I grew up from teenage to older,

Who knew one day I'll become a globetrotter!!

It all started back in the days with my father,

He took us across the country from border to border,

Moulded me into someone with an urge to wander,

With a dream to see the world from North to down under !! 

From India to America and Switzerland to Spain,

Riding buses, flights, ferries and trains,

Amidst rivers, lakes, mountains and plains,

And roaming around in all sorts of terrains.

Different cuisines, cultures, languages and skins, 

Treating their visitors no different but akin!!

But seeing so much has expanded my horizon,

It's not about just packing bags and having fun,

There is something more which ties all of us,

It nothing but a beautiful bond of humanity and love,

We all are chapters of one common book,

Together we can achieve whatever we could,

Every moment, this emotion makes me proud and stronger,

                             That I'm a globetrotter,

                                   I'm a globetrotter !!

Turning 30!

     

Thirty years back on August thirteen,

I opened my eyes in this world of dreams,

Elated my parents and elated my kins,

With a life full of exuberance ever since,

I always was a kid with a stellar goal,

Working hard to gratify my soul,

Sometimes I passed and sometimes I failed,

But my parents were always there to guide as I sailed,

Growing from a kid to a teenager to an adult,

Made through my school, my college and my results,

And learned many mantras to survive in this world.

Fortunately, God has always laid his eyes upon me,

Fulfilled so many dreams which I wished and could see,

With so many achievements under my sleeve,

At this mysterious young age of just thirty.

Today when I look back at every chapter and every page,

I really don't feel like I am out of age,

Still there is a lot to do and to learn,

Lot to cherish and lot to earn,

Thank you God for these wonderful thirty years,

A mix of smiles and mix of tears,

Life is never a black or a white,

It's a shade of grey and a blessing in disguise.

As I enter this whole new phase,

I am more than ready for any kind of race,

Because 30 is just a number,

It's not to rest and not to slumber,

So still there is more to whine and more to party,

                                                 As I turn 30,

                                                      As I turn 30!!

Congratulations!

             
Eleven years have passed to this day,

When Tarun and I met in the hostel hallway,

Without knowing how the fate will play,

Making us roommates along the way.

Together we faced all those times,

Good or bad did all those crimes,

From games to books and movies to jokes,

Together we dreamed and created hopes,

Finally we jumped that burning fire,

Earning jobs we longed to acquire,

Happily we separated to meet again,

Cherishing the moments hard to explain.     

Seven years today after our graduation,

I hear the news of your marriage celebration,

Words fail to express my pleasure,

As my bestie unites forever,

On the auspicious occasion of 14^th December.

 As the almighty encloses you in this nuptial bubble,

 I extend my wishes to the lovely couple,

 I close my note with a small prayer,

 May both of you get all you care,

 From happiness to success, a world full of smiles,

 May you continue to carry for long long miles,

                                                  Long long miles!!

Here I stand !!

Today here I stand and look behind,
All MBA memories tickle my mind.

It started from the day I landed here,

Although my flight was a nightmare,

Which soon vanished meeting colleagues
 full of support and care.

Gosh!! those projects, reports and weekly exams,
So many courses so many plans,
Made me wonder where I am,

But the support of Lisa, Joanna and Lauren,

And my wonderful colleagues and friends,
 Pushed me forward to handle this strain.

                

We danced, cheered and had those fights,
 Mixed with all those sleepless nights,
 But never we lost each other's grip,

 Whether it was paintball or European trip.

Today when I stand and look behind,
 I cherish those moments of their own kind,

Tears come into my eyes,

While leaving all my friends so nice,

Truly you all are blessings in disguise,

Who have given me a priceless price,

And strength to move forward and face
this world outside,
To remove the darkness and make it all bright.

     
 Here I stand to wish 'Good Luck' to you all,
 And to say that 'I love you all',

 And will miss you all,

 Will miss you all !!!!  

Solitude

Sometimes, this world turns out to be rude on you,
your eyes get deprived of a clearer view,
u crave for some love and gratitude,
of a unique identity and magnitude,
And all you get is a solitude.

This solitude sometimes hurts like poison,
like a criminal strangled inside a prison,
with no one to share your joy and sorrow,
no one to give and no one to borrow,
no one to be your tomorrow,
life becomes a field without harrow,
making ur path to be too narrow.


Many a times to me it occurs,
life loses all its colours,
it renders its face in an ugly fashion,
like fighting a battle without any passion,
occupying my mind with all sorts of frustation,
and turning me into an ugly doleful disposition.


But all we need to learn is to learn,
From our solitude as the platform to earn,
the love and the respect we had lost,
and to win the hearts of others at any cost,
as the solitude gives us a priceless chance,
to discover our pros and cons,
because it's only the state of trance,
which gives you the better glance,
to make them feel your existence,
and if you know this secret my friends,
to your tune they all will dance,
so dont take solitude as a sign of some trouble,
because it is the only key ,
to solve this mystic puzzle,
