A Hope That Ennobles My Instincts

Well friends first of all when you read the title of this article a question will vellicate your minds – what kind of a hope am I talking about?? Why am I writing this article?? Let me make one thing very clear friends, I am not writing this article in order to win the hearts of those intelligentsia sitting in Stockholm and distributing the Noble prize. Neither am I writing this article to just replete the vacuum in my blog nor do I expect any sympathetic veneer from my readers when they read this article. I even do not want it to be an esteemed newspaper column. But there is something far more ginormous in magnitude than what we have discussed so far. There is a positive hope dwelling in the minds of the citizens which can change the direction of this great galleon, India. This small piece of writing is just to incite that hope that seems to have become dormant somewhere in their daily routines. I know this is the land of warriors like Maharana Pratap and Rani Lakshmi Bai, I know this is the land of jingoists like Bhagat Singh and Ram Prasad Bismil, I know that this is the land of nationalists like Subhash Chandra Bose and Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, then why should I believe that the citizens of my motherland are pusillanimous. Candidly, I can say that they are audacious enough to bring that hope, that feeling to the surface which can change the course of this great country. The steering wheel is not in the hands of these corrupt, bigoted, megalomaniac politicians who are amassing huge sums of our hard earned money into their Swiss Bank accounts. We are the drivers, we are the directors, and we are the pilots of our Bharat, Hindustan, India. The termite of corruption has penetrated into the roots, stem and branches of the whole system then how can we expect to get the fruit of progress which was the dream of Mahatma Gandhi, the dream of Netaji. Did they sacrifice their lives for this day? I am not so sure. The other day we were discussing about the nepotism and larceny of medicines being performed by the employees of the government hospitals. One of my dear friends presented a very valid point -: “If you want to change the system you need to be a part of the system”. Yes my friend you are very right but the history speaks its own language – The voice of the people like TN Seshan who tried to change the system by being a part of it was either oppressed or axed completely. The situation has worsened and there are no positive signs which can make us feel honoured or dignified. The thought of being a part of system to change it is an old adage now. It’s not the time to think, it’s the time to act.Last week I was returning from home so I took a train to Delhi. The chaos and the hustle to get into the train nearly crushed a woman holding her little infant. Even half of my body hung outside the train. Is this the India Abdul Kalam gave his sweat and blood for? Where is the system? Where is the law?? I mean for 100 seats in the compartment they are selling 500 tickets. This is only one example but there are hundreds of them. I visualise my India where there is no Bofors scandal, which is free of fodder scandal, free of Aarushi murder scandal, with no Godhra Rampage, with no 1984 anti Sikh Riots. Yes, you can call me greedy, covetous but that is what I am!! I want a perfect India. I want it to be the most developed economy like USA, most advanced in weaponry like Israel, no. 1 in exports like China, most beautiful country to live in like France and a sports power like Australia. Remember,

“virtuality breeds reality ,
shadows lead to souls,
together we dream to detach India,
from all loopholes”

This is not my hope, our hope. Hope to see our kids, our future generations living in a world full of happiness and full of perfection. Hope to see the world where foreigners dream of getting educated in India, craving for an Indian Visa, dying to make an Indian trip. If this effort of mine is able to move even a single heart and he could transform his spirits into an effort to change the image of contemporary India, then it will be worth getting the Noble Prize for me, worth getting my article published in esteemed The Hindu, because this is the hope of all hopes.

Friends or Foes ??

do u know as your life goes,
u need to distinguish between friends and foes,
bcoz if anywhere u fall,
a friend makes u stand tall,
and a foe will not even call,
when you are in need,
a friend will help indeed,
while a foe will show his greed,
a friend will give you all love and passion,
and a foe will hate you in an acute fashion,
A friend purifies your mind and every beat of your heart,
and a foe will try to fill them with all kinds of dirt,
A friend will always try to wipe your tears,
while a foe will put you in all kinds of fears,
a friend will lead you to the path of success,
while a foe will make you loose what u possess,
so beware when you choose,
the friends and the foes,
bcoz a one wrong opinion,
may cost you a million,
be it a boss be it a colleague,
be it a brother be it a sister,
be it a son be it a daughter,
u never know who is going to bother,
bcoz you are a character in this God's covetous journal,
standing alone to face each and every hurdle,
only the friends can consort you in this gruelling trail,
the others will not even notice u if u fail,
so my dear amigos,
this is the life,
and that's how it goes,
you need to realise,
who are your friends,
and who are your foes??

Is A genius God Gifted ?

Is a Genius God gifted? Or does he have a very sharp brain? This question has always puzzled me and slowly my urge to unfold this mystery rebounded.
So let me try to answer this question by telling you what is brain and how it works.

Our brain has trillions of cells .In our brain or cortex we have over 100 billion active cells called neurons. Each individual neuron is more powerful than most computers on earth.

It is not however the number of these wonderful little SUPERCOMPUTERS, that determine “INTELLIGENCE”. Each neuron has the potential to make 20,000 different connections with other neurons.

Put very simply, INTELLIGENCE is a function of two factors, namely:-

a) The number of functional neurons and more importantly,
b) The number of dendrite connections in our brain!

The first determines the size of the brain and its potential capacity. This does not vary a great deal between individuals.

We all have the same basic potential. We have the same brain capacity and potential as EINSTEIN and VISHWANATHAN ANAND. The real difference is the number of connections between each neuron. This is where a ‘GENIUS’ is made.

When we challenge our mental capacity by learning new things and going beyond our intellectual comfort zone, we will be creating new dendrites and new connections to other parts of our brain. We will be increasing our intelligence.

So, my dear friends who have been stressing their gray matter since ages and still cannot get through, let me tell you it is never too late to start the process of making yourself into a genius. All we need is a firm determination. Even the scientists are convinced that the ability to increase our brain density by stimulating the growth of new dendritic connections continues throughout life….IT DOES NOT DIMINISH with age!

Complying with a famous belief which says – “EVERYONE IS SPECIAL “. I guess now you might agree with me and start making new dendrite connections!!

Live For Others

Once upon a time ,there was a village near Agra .It had many people of different professions and businesses. Some of them were
Farmers, some were teachers and so on. Among these people was one Babloo. He was very poor and was alone. His primary aim was to make people laugh in any situation even when they were sad or under any stress.

He used different techniques to make people laugh. He used to mimic different actors, dance , crack jokes or tell them funny stories. He was loved by whole village because of his funny and selfless nature.

One day all of a sudden he died. All the villagers became very sad. All villagers visited his house. They found a note near his body with his last wish. He wanted to be cremated in the same clothes in which the villagers found him after his death. All villagers agreed to fulfill his last wish. They took him in the same clothes to the cremation ground and as fire was given to cremate him, suddenly there were sounds of crackers. Villagers were shocked for a moment and then realized that he had kept crackers in his clothes . In this way once again he made people laugh even after his death. That’s life, “Live For Others”.

Are you Happy with your Life ?

Well, I know this question is quite unusual and most of the people reading this text may not be able to answer it that quickly. If you are not sure, then let me help you find out or at least bring you closer to the answer.

Firstly, ask yourself, what exactly happiness means to you. Do you feel you are happy with the way your life is proceeding like if you are able to earn a thousand bucks per day? Or if you have a loving family and supporting friends?
Or if you are in the limelight which you craved for, since childhood? Or do you find happiness in just “living”?

God bless the people whose answer to the last question is Yes.

Different people, different answers, different queries. Wait, close your eyes and think for a while. Let all that matters to you and all that you have ever wanted wander in your mind….Now, instead of thinking about “happiness”, think, are you “satisfied”? If you are satisfied with what you have, then you are one very lucky person because in my view, satisfaction is the key to happiness. Maximum number of people in this world are not happy because they do not cherish what they have. Believe me, there is not much effort required to be happy. All you need, is performance of your duties, thankfulness for what you have, few selfless acts, a bit of humbleness and there you will be, blooming in the garden of happiness.

You won’t ever regret doing this! So start practicing to be happy if you don’t want your life to turn into a FIASCO !!!

Prank

The memory goes back to my college days .It was the fall of my fourth semester which was quite crucial in terms of scores for me. The previous semester had been a horror for me so this time I had to score well at any expense!! There was one subject in which I was lagging behind in internals i.e. Signals and Systems. In finals I needed to crack the paper in order to get a good average.Unfortunately, my final in the subject again didn’t go as well as I had expected. Now fear of getting supplementary in the subject haunted me like a ghost as I had never failed before in my life. The day came when the scores had to be announced and I was nervous like anything. So unable to face the situation i asked my roommate to see my score.Minutes passed, hours passed by but there were no signs of my friend. I was getting restless so i started calling him.He was not picking up the phone . Four hours passed by without any information so I decided to go to college and find out myself to see what had happened.Suddenly a knock on the door drew my attention and I pounced towards the door like a leopard .When I opened the door, my friend was standing with a pitiful expression on his face.He was not looking into my eyes which started giving me red signals!! Slowly without a word he sneaked inside the room . Irritatingly, I shouted at him “what happened?” He turned and said “Sorry buddy, you failed!!” It was like I got hammered by someone . My heart sank and unconscious I fell on the floor. My eyes opened when a stream of water splashed across my face.It was my friend with a huge grin holding my scorecard . He passed the scorecard in my hands . My eyes fell on the scores and to my amazement I had scored 70% in Signals and Systems .I was speechless and started staring at him in anger but couldn’t control my smile.I knew I had been played upon by my roommate but to be frank it really peeled off my skins!!!

If You Love

If you love a woman,
Love her with your heart and soul.

If you love a man ,
Make him your ultimate goal.

If you love your parents,
Give them your respect and regards.

If you love your children,
Encourage them and give them reward.

If you love birds,
Set them free in the air.

If you love flowers,
Don't pluck and make them rare.

If you love your friends,
Give your support in need.

And above all if you love somebody,
Give him space and set him free.

If he comes back to you,
He was yours,
If not, he never was.
